Very disappointing for a Moto'

I've always used budget smartphones so I know what this price point is capable of and the Moto g22 falls very short which was a huge surprise to me as past models up to the G5 were always quite good.

The input lag is just not acceptable. It's really, really bad to the point that the phone is just not useable as a daily device.

Some good points though - notifications work well on all apps. The atheistics are great, it looks really smart. Battery is great and fast charges well. And it has NFC (quite rare for this price)

But, it's just so unresponsive that the experience of using it is frustrating and I have now given up. I keep it running as a backup phone should I ever be absolutely desperate and have literally no other choice in the entire world to have to endure it again.

You may think that you are saving yourself some money and getting a great looking decent phone. Beware - it does look great but you'll end up having to pay more on top to buy a replacement that you can actually use. And that's coming from a consumer of this end of the market, in not a Samsung or iPhone user, I use cheap phones because I find it more cost efficient to change them regularly to up-to-date models as they come out, and this phone is the poorest example I've owned in 2023, it would have been acceptable in 2016 but there's just no excuse now even at the £100 mark, much better for this price out there

A bit slow

I had a Motorola phone before, and they have some nice touches (such as a chopping motion to turn on the torch), so was looking forward to this one. My only real gripe is that the processor is a bit too slow, so it takes a while for it to wake up, and things take a while to load.

Bad:
phone feels sluggish like trying to use a sony experia m2 now.

overall if u want a phone that does everything a phone does and don't mind ur apps lagging, however ur battery will last longer than a day playing videos all day, or clear photos then this is the phone for u otherwise save for a little longer.

I have been buying Motorola phones for years as they have all been really good, this G22 phone is very poorly designed ,it’s CPU is totally underpowered , it’s painfully slow and I have been unable to answer calls. (The actual purpose of owning a phone)I have reluctantly had to send the phone back. Will pay out a bit more for a better phone. I won’t be buying from Motorola again until they stop making substandard phones like the G22. What a complete let down.:(

I really like Motorola & my last 3 phones have been in their 'G' range. This one, the G22, is a little disappointing as it's rather slow to respond & I'm not keen on the volume control. Frankly I preferred my G8 Power - wanted another but just can't buy a new one 🤷

I don't like the slow speed microphone and speaker is at the bottom of the phone so it has to be held in your ear you cannot lean it against your body as you can't hear conversation and they can't hear you, only 4 rings before it goes into voicemail needs to have at least seven rings this my forth Motorola I still think G9 was a better phone but except for the ring to short

I ordered 2 of these as an upgrade to our moto G10s, however we weren't impressed as some of the G10 features had been removed and some were a poor replacement so not really an upgrade except for the camera which is only marginally better, Stick to the G10 because nothing much has changed to make it a better phone and my husband's phone developed a microphone fault which we've never experienced before so we're "upgrading" back to our g10s
