Horrible battery life

I tried really hard to like the Technics ear buds. A little more expensive but met most (but not all) of my wants. I wasn't happy when they only lasted 4 to 5 hours before needing to be charged but I was able to switch and get through. Now, after both being in the charger that was plugged in for a full day I took out the left bud and went shopping. It last just about an hour before completely dying. Of course it went through the "battery low" prompts first. I didn't get to finish what I was doing before it went dead. Since I didn't have the other bud with me I was just out of luck until I got back home to swap.

I absolutely do not recommend these eat buds. And no I didn't reach out to them. I shouldn't need to with a product that is this new.

Not worthy of the Technics name

First impressions: the packaging is nice, the charging case feels super cheap, made of light plastic with sharp mold lines -unacceptable at this price point- and most importantly, the earbuds feel cheap. They look like metal but they’re also made of cheap plastic. Not what I expected from Technics. Not the maker of sturdy, legendary turntables. For comparison, I had mid-price wired House of Marley earbuds and they were made out of metal.
Then there’s the pairing issue. Easy to do, but let’s say you’re using an iPhone and you put one earbud slightly later than the other in your ears, you’ll be hearing “Bluetooth connected” twice. Per ear! I don’t recommend these.

1. The left earpiece battery drains faster than the right one. Did the reset and firmware upgrade to no avail.
2. For the price, a firmware upgrade to sense and stop music when set is not in use will be appreciated
3. The set charges weirdly & suspiciously too fast - not sure if this is normal

On a positive note,

1. the sound quality is above average
2.the Amazon support agent was customer-centric 10/10 - thank you

They were great for the 4 months I've had them. However along with other people on here, the right earbud has gone really quiet and I've done all the troubleshooting technics.
I'm not able to return them apparently and I'm not sure what to do here. I spent a lot of money to me on these

I’m a big Technics fan from the hey days with the legendary SL 1200 MK2 turntables retired in my music room along with other hi-fi equipment from this superb electronics company, but I must say that there not all winners.. I bought these to replace my apple AirPods, and I found them to be below subpar, the design is dope, but just felt cheap with the plastic carriage. The audio quality was not what I expected, very low and quiet sounding, no mmmmpph in the music on playback, and the technics app does not have any boosting of audio which is very sad. The Bluetooth connection was not great either, took a while to connect to my iPhone when I recieved a call, the ambient noise drove me crazy so I had to switch it off. Needless to say, I didn’t keep them that long and found my apple AirPods to be better then these.

These are good on the face of it, the sound quality is good, especially with the low basses. But the problem is controlling the damn things. They keep pausing the medium you are playing and the volume can't be increased from the device, only through a complex and hard to memorise series of taps on the metal part of the outside of the bud. This is also problematic because it causes them to fall out.
They don't fit in the ears well and constantly fall out. I bought these largely for workout and they would be no good for that.
The battery life is compromised by the fact that these eat power even when not in use.

A good set of headphones in theory, but the manufacture is below the usual standard of Technics.

Great Headphones Until They Weren't

I really love(d) these headphones. I personally own all Apple products, but like many people, my work computer is a HP. Juggling AirPods and plug in headphones was a nightmare for my work from home set up. I tried out these headphones and IT WAS AMAZING having one set of earpods that worked with both Apple and HP products. I was able to listen to Spotify on my work laptop, then they would seamlessly switch to the phone call I picked up on my iPhone. Great sound quality and i loved the ability to turn off and on the ambient noise setting.

HOWEVER, all of a sudden the headphones became static-y and callers could not hear me speak my full sentences. This was after about 3 months. Amazon accepted the return. Will be trying another pair to see if this is an individual issue or something that repeats and therefore a manufacturer product wide issue.

Overall these headphones were a bit disappointing.

Pros:
- The case is very small.
- Earbud size is small.
- Earbuds were comfortable and cushions were a good size and sealed well.

Cons:
- Audio quality was not lacking. Very low mid-high range.
- Touch controls were a bit finicky.
- No wireless charging.

Overall they aren't horrible but there are $30-$50 models that have better sound out of the box without having to use an EQ/App.

I bought this because I know this brand being amazing for many years but I was disappointed with the earbuds there is no noise cancellation .. I went for a run and all I heard was the wind then I could hear myself walking/running … love the sound but not worth the money. If you are staying at the office or home they work but that’s all.
I was expecting better quality, of course I returned them.
