The cheaper option available but does the job. You can’t expect perfection it’s accurate within about 10 degrees always runs a little high. Long probe very simple to drill a hole and pop it in.
Make sure you punch a dot first if you have an enamelled bbq.
Easy to read the sections and temperatures aren’t too small if you want specifics.

These are really for bbqs but I am using one on a stove top oven because one can fit perfectly into the hole in the lid.
It works flawlessly and means I know when to adjust the heat for baking bread etc.
The dial is marked in C and F degrees and also colour graded.
Thats quite nice as it means providing the needle stays in the yellow section and not up into the pink one, I probably wont burn the goodies.
The Pointer is Red metal

The sections are
Smoking and Baking Yellow
Grilling Pink
Searing Red

Fit the thermometer on through a hole and use the wing nut to keep it there

Construction is Metal and glass so they should stand the heat.
All the Written Markings are in Silver and show up well with the light reflecting on them.
The Red pointer could really do with a silver line down its middle as that is harder to see when the daylight shines into the dial and almost becomes invisible behind the reflecting glass cover.

Diameter of thermometer is 2" or 52mm.
The probe length is 1 and 1/2" or 38mm
Probe thickness 4mm
Thread above the probe is 7mm thick so you'll need at least a 7mm hole to have it sit neatly

These could also be used for home made solar ovens

If you wanted it for measuring liquid temperatures, you are better off getting one with a longer probe as the probe has to be right in the liquid to see an accurate temperature reading (Tested with a jug of boiling water)

Easy install - measure your current thermometer before ordering

My old Weber grill thermometer stopped working (after dropping the lid too hard a few too many times) so I got this one to replace it. It took about a minute to install it, with most of that time going to get a pair of channel locks to get the old wing nut to release. The gauge fit into the housing and just had to tighten the wing nut. It is a little smaller than the old unit (see second pic), so there is some space around the unit in the housing, but it works well. My old unit lasted for about 12 years, so I don't think I'll need the second thermometer in the kit (or be able to find it in a decade if the first one lasts). I can't speak to the exact accuracy of the temp during grilling (nothing to compare it against), but it does register the outside temp correctly when not grilling. Overall happy with this temperature gauge.

out thermometer stopped working on our grill and we needed a replacement. this works perfectly. i was able to just remove my old one, pop this one right where the old one was and i was ready to go. I have a hanging thermometer in my over that i took out and stuck inside the grill and it is accurate on temp. works great.
