Misleading product description.

It's a beautiful watch with a low profile look. However, the product description says that the watch has luminous hands and hour markers. This wasn't true when I received the watch, and it's difficult to read the time in low lit situations. This would have been a 5 star review if the watch did have luminous markers as described. Unfortunately had to return.

I love Seiko in general and I particularly love this series of Seiko 5. The pictures of this one look so sleek and so dang cool ... But I was never able to read the time in low light at all and even in what I would consider good lighting had to angle my wrist just so to get a time reading from the watch.

I considered keeping it just because it really does look so damn cool and could wear it to functions where knowing the time was less important than having a cool black watch to wear... But we've been in a pandemic so long (with no end in sight) I can't justify paying hundreds of dollars for accessories for non-existent social events.

But it was as accurate as my other Seiko 5 and I wanted to love it so badly. But I used the money on one of their new feild watches instead and do not regret it!

This is a nice looking watch but it is quite possible the worst time keeping watch I've ever owned. The watch will lose 10 seconds over a period of three hours. I buy a watch to look good and deliver accurate time. This watch fails at the latter. In addition, the watch band was way too long.

I like everything about this watch, but the quality is apparently poor. The first day I tried to correct the day/date on the watch the crown broke after I turned it several times. Now it is impossible to regulate the day/date. I write the review on 29 June, Tuesday, while the day/date function on this watch has its own life and shows Monday 21, and I cannot change that. Apparently the crown was poorly constructed that it broke at the first turning. Nice watch, but the quality/durability suffers.

If you're old very difficult to read

I had two problems with the watch. More important, it was almost impossible to read the time without moving the wrist around to get just the right light. Less important, the watch was inconsistent in accuracy of time. I often had to adjust the time to agree with the time on my cell phone and/or Fitbit. It is, of course, very handy to just glance at your wrist to see the time, especially for those of us who are not married to a cell phone.

No need to buy a cheap automatic watch. This watch barely holds a charge for 12 hours! This is unacceptable for a watch of this price.
Why 2 stars instead of 1? The red face is beautiful.
