it was the best thing I bought on amazon. It is a fast good quality. Though I prefer it if it was a tiny bit bigger. But overall go for it go for it go for it!
This thing is very quick and nimble. It looks really nice from a design standpoint, and the controls are very intuitive. Easy to set up, just install the battery and go! The inside of the boat body did get wet, which was concerning, but it didn't seem to affect the boat, so maybe the internals are waterproofed? All in all, for under $50, this is a fun little toy!

I imporperly installed the battery/cable and the boat would only turn one way. I fixed it and now it does turn both ways (although it always turns much sharper one direction than the other, and I don't know why that is).
Also, the velcro that holds the battery in place inside the boat almost immediately lost it's adhesive because of the water getting into the boat. they should really use a more secure way to hold the battery inside, and I wish it really was water-proof inside the boat. I don't know how long it will last with pool water getting inside. Will update.

I wish I had started with this boat as my first. I originally had a helion Lagos that I thought was cool, but this boat is far superior to the Lagos, and at nearly half the price. It's body is much stronger, more streamlined, and far better designed to keep water out. This little boat is much more stable, just as fast and has important features my other small class boat did not. For example, the water cooled engine and remote battery monitoring capabilities help to greatly reduce wear. I could easily go on and on, but the only thing that matters is that you won't be disappointed. It's fast, fun, and has the features of the larger RC boats, but without the expense.

UPDATE: Pros: Fast, fun for whole family, extra battery included. Cons: Boat needs a rubber seal around hatch to keep water out. Boat stand needs gripping material on it (the boat slides right off if the surface is not even). Only extra part is a motor blade. No extra turn fins or rudders. Hopefully these never break but they are thin plastic pieces. No storage case to protect the boat when not in use.
Reverse did not work on the first boat we tried. Amazon exchange it for us. We tried the new boat out in a creek. Reverse worked on the second boat. Reverse is a lot slower than going forwards. It performed tighter turns one way than the other. We noticed the boat wanted to list to one side. It’s the side the battery is on so I think it is just a weight distribution issue. We saw this with the first boat also. A second battery can be fastened into the boat either in the hull or in the cover to even out weight distribution. Everything else was stated in the original review. A copy is below.
ORIGINAL REVIEW was a 4 STAR I took this boat to a lake to test it. It was so much fun. It paired perfectly upon starting it. It turned better to the right then it did to the left but still performed really well. It is very fast also. On the negative side I could not get the boat to go in reverse. It seemed like it was trying to back up only because it turned less in the water than when we did nothing. It was a little windy the day we took it to the lake. We did not stay long. The boat is better suited as advertised for calm water days. I let my husband and child try steering the boat as well. My child is 10yrs old and had no trouble. I would love to see a few upgrades though. 1. I would love an easier way to oil the drive shaft on it every 3-1/2hrs of use. 2. I would also love a thin rubber seal where the cover fits on the boat. It gets water in it too easy. 3. A hard case to transport this in would be a great bonus to add. I do love the fact that this was great family fun. Everyone enjoyed steering it and watching it skim across the water. It was an activity we could all connect with. Eventually it would be great to buy one for each of us so we could drive at the same time when money allows. I definitely would recommend this item.

Very fun toy. Took it on a lake, was fast, with a little adjusting the boat turned and preformed the exact maneuver I was trying to do. Had it out on the water for a good amount of time with no battery issues. It is designed to just flip right side up, which is very fun, and you have no worry of sinking or breaking. One downside is no dedicated battery compartment, just a double sided tape to hold in place. I would recommend this rc boat, it's very fun and I like the quality.
This is a very fun remote control boat. My daughter loves it. The only thing is, it's extremely fast! Your have to be watchful that it doesn't go outside of the remote range, or you will be swimming to retrieve it. My daughter is 9 and does need some supervision to use it. I would recommend for an older child or adult. It is suitable for a larger body of water, such as a pond or lake, but goes a little fast for a small pool. Overall, it's a fun toy for young and old alike!
My 9 year old son had a great time with this boat (me too). Boat worked fine right out of the box. Charged the batteries and off we went. We live beside a fresh water lake so the waves were small until boats came by (which was encouraged by my 9 year old), but the boat went over them with ease. The boat Dove and flipped and we never had to retrieve it. We have had no issues with the boat or controller. After a constant hour of piloting the boat (keeping batteries on charge) we did have a (dime size) small amount of water in the hull. Range was good on the boat and the boat speed would go low when the batteries became low, which allowed you to dive it back to shore. Not sure if it will run 30mph, but it does go fast for its size and turns fast too. We love it .
I was pleasantly surprised about how easy it was for my 4yr old grandson to use it. This boat move so fast in the lake and turned so quick, it was just as much fun to watch than to use. I thought it was great that two battery s came with it so one could charge while you used one. It was very simplistic to use and work on. You asked if their was a down side to the boat and I must add the worse thing about the boat was getting it away from my 43yr old son and giving it back to my grandson. We were very please with this item I recommend it to all that need some fun these days buy and enjoy
I bought this for my 11year old brother as a gift he loveeeedddd it, it was super fast we did take to the ocean and it was still fine he just had to clean it. His friend lost it in the river so it’s back on his wish list with the holidays coming up.. the boat is great summer winter or fall
