Get this strap if you like being "fabulous" or glitz and glamour. Me I like more blokey straps like black zulu type straps. You know, the type you punch lions in the face with before you eat them alive then scull a beer afterwards. This strap is not that type. But the quality is good.

Slightly too narrow

The strap is just a teeny bit too narrow, so the watch slides back on it and ends up on the side of your wrist. The plaid on mine is also crooked, and there is not a feature that keeps the end of the strap from flopping around.

Great replacement band for my Timex Weekender, but....

I have had the watch and THIS band for a month now. I purchased the plain black band to replace a horrid plaid band the watch originally possessed. I am not sure if the band is the same as those that come with the watches, but the price, color and fit was perfect! (I don't recall the band of a diff Weekender having this issue.) The double D ring on the band is perfect, as I tuck the extra band length back into the outer ring. Nice and tidy like.

The ONLY reason I gave it a three star rating is because at least twice a week - OR when I simply can't stand it anymore I take a lighter/flame to the band to singe the tufts of nylon material that develop at the unused watch band holes. (Yup, I push down the singed material before it cools.) I would normally wear a watch 24/7, but I can't with this band. The tufts that develop rub against everything. I have tried to minimize this 'rubbing' against things by changing the direction of the band through the watch to switch the buckle direction, but to no avail. It may be a minor thing for someone else, but not I. I'm hopeful that one day I won't have to continue singeing the band.

Exactly as described. Very utilitarian and minimal. Material is thin and a little rough but everything works as it should and the hardware is solid enough. Far from beautiful, but it does the job. I guess it’s worth the $12 I paid, but not a penny more.

Make these wrist bands longer

First of all it was easy to instal. Not overly heavy duty but more than enough to keep the watch on my wrist. My biggest complaint is the length of the band. I have a modest size wrist approximately 9 inches. The watch band barley meets on the other side to catch. Surely you could make the band another inch longer. I have noticed that most if not all Timex watches come with very small wrist bands that will not fit most men’s wrists. Like the watches just not so much the wrist bands!

I wanted to save money so I bought this for my Bertucci field watch. The strap fits very loosely in the case, and it slips right out whenever I take it off. It's pretty floppy and doesn't give the impression of high quality. But I don't think it's weak or flimsy, just a corner-cutter.
