Love this product and I had hoped it would last for years.
Yes it was constantly exposed to the Arizona sun so expected some deterioration. However, it literally disintegrated after 2 years. You could visibly see the deterioration, and when I went to remove the product, it literally crumpled in my hands.
Will review durability of other products before deciding which to buy. I did love this product and may buy again.....after all, I do expect our hot Arizona sun to cause damage to goods.
Had this grill cover for 21 months (January of 2018 to October 2019). It’s been a pretty good cover during this time and I really like the clasps that hold the cover on as it’s definitely helped keep the cover from blowing away. Although the cover isn’t actually covering the grill any longer after a strong wind (20mph will lift it off which is not surprising). Over the last month I’ve noticed the fabric start to tear and today when I was putting it back on it tore pretty badly (see pic). I live in Indiana and last winter was definitely cold so I’m sure that had a bit to do with the durability but I was hoping to get a grill cover that would last without tearing for 4 to 5 years. Maybe that’s just a pipe dream though. If you expect to replace you grill cover every 2 years, then I’d recommend this one. It fits really well. If you want something that lasts longer and you’re going to keep it on all winter long and you have cold winters, then another option may be better.
My cover lasted nearly 4 years before it began to fall apart. All the tears happened within a few months this summer after the material had become noticeably more brittle. That said, it was in full afternoon sun and year round conditions.
I like that it clipped onto the handle. During storms it never left home, unlike my neighbor’s grill cover.
I’m going to shop around before committing to this one again, I would like to see if there is something that will last longer before needing replacement or if this is as good as it gets.
It is very ill fitting and mildewed up even though it's in direct sun all day. Knowing what I know I wouldn't buy. Keep looking! Seriously, it looks terrible and it's all bunchy and lumpy on my very nice and expensive out for Kitchen built-in 32" grill. I threw it out and am using my 2 years old faded cover from summerset, the grill manufacturer. It's black and I thought it didn't fit all that great, but compared to this is like an isotoner glove!
Looks fine and when brand new, looks like it should last. However, I've had mine for a little less than 2 years, and it is ripped to pieces, and the straps have been torn up. Just didn't hold up well to the sun.
After few months by fall, it has black spots all over (kind of mold?). My patio covers (much cheaper) that I bought with this is holding strong and clean. Both are in covered patio. So this item this one is probably not so great for outdoor.
