Love cooking meat and burgers on this, absolutely perfect browning and crust. I’m sure this will outlast me and I love the fact I can put it on the stove top, bbq or camp fire.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent griddle
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 1 January 2023

I purchased this griddle to cook over a camp fire to replace a large cast iron skillet. The skillet was heavy and didn’t give us enough surface area. This carbon steel griddle is exactly what we needed for camping. It is light and easy to pack, it had even heat distribution even over a campfire, it stayed hot for long, and it had a good amount of surface area to cook for 8 people. We haven’t tried it indoors yet, but I’m sure it would work just as well over a stove.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect addition to my camp kitchen
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 12 November 2022
Size: 8 InchStyle: Dual HandleVerified Purchase
We're apartment-dwellers, so even though our camping is all "car camping" I like to keep the camp kitchen compact for storage. I've gone through a couple non-stick, folding-handle frying pans, and they just don't stand up to the head put out by my little one-burner butane stove. This does, and although the handle doesn't fold, the little loops in place of a more traditional frying pan handle are small enough that I can nest it into the same box with our plates without anything sticking out badly.

Being made out of carbon steel, it is a little thinner, and I think therefore lighter, than a similar cast iron skillet would be, but takes similar care. That means that you can get it clean with water a and a chain mail scrubber, no need for soap or disposable non-stick-safe scrubbers. That's kinda perfect for camping, and while it's still probably on the heavy side for backpacking it's certainly not too heavy for car camping.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great on Induction Stove!
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 24 May 2021
Size: 18 inchStyle: GriddleVerified Purchase
I wanted to be sure to come back and write a review for this because I spent a very long time searching for a griddle that would work on the bridge element of my GE Cafe Induction Range that didn’t have any kind of chemical nonstick coating. It wasn’t an easy thing to find. Most cast iron griddles have an uneven bottom that wouldn’t make contact with the induction surface. When I found this flat one I assumed it would work but was hesitant to purchase because it doesn’t say it’s induction compatible and the reviews on it were pretty mixed. I finally decided it was worth a shot and I’m SO glad I did despite the reviews! It has quickly become my most used pan. We’ve used it pretty much daily for the last 2 months since purchasing it. For the first several uses I added a good bit of extra oil to get it good and seasoned and now it’s perfect! It’s basically non-stick at this point. It’s super easy to clean. I typically don’t wash it, just scrape it clean and wipe it with a rag. I haven’t had any issues with warping like some other reviewers have mentioned but I also don’t ever really need to heat it on high. I’m not sure if that has anything to do with it. One thing that probably bears mentioning is that the cooking surface doesn’t heat evenly throughout, but in my experience that’s just the nature of cooking with a griddle, not a flaw in this specific one. I’ve seen several reviews that complain about uneven heat, but I believe the hottest areas will always be the areas over the actual heating elements (whether that be induction, electric, or a flame) and the rest will not be as hot. Just bear this in mind while cooking and you shouldn’t have any issues. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! Highly recommend if your searching for an induction-compatible griddle!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great griddle pan for home use too
Reviewed in Canada 🇨🇦 on 4 August 2021
Size: 18 inchStyle: GriddleVerified Purchase
This pan fits our 6-top gas range perfectly and is much easier to work with than the heavier cast iron griddles I've owned in the past. The pan holds heat well enough to make proper smash burgers and it's non-stick enough that cooking eggs or fish works without issue, with a bit of care.

The handles are a great addition for moving the pan out of the way for washing or cooling off. The pan cleans up easily given the tall lip and handles. I generally add water and bring it to a boil to lightly scrape off the stuck bits. With a light wipe in the sink when it cools down to remove any extra bits, I let it dry off and give it a light coating of oil with a clean cloth. If you find it loses its coating, you can add it back with the same basic process as a cast iron pan, though I haven't had to do that yet (I avoid acidic foods, and clean it carefully).

This pan would also be great for camping (though this one is not leaving my kitchen any time soon).

5.0 out of 5 stars Rocks a bit on a flat surface
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 18 September 2022

I bought this to use on my ceramic top with dual burners just for griddles. This however is too long and the center punched emblem makes it rock and spin so it's no good for that but I decided to keep it to use on a gas grill or outdoor fireplace for which I think it was really intended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for gas grill cooking!

I primarily use this on a Webber gas grill and it works great. It’s especially useful when making fajitas, searing steaks, grilling onions, throwing together a nice breakfast, or smashing some burgers.

I think it’s a good size for a smaller family (3-4). Definitely would not use something like this to feed a crowd.

It is easy to season, very durable, and washes easy. Satisfied. Recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pan is worth the money spent
Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on 16 March 2021

I read several reviews where people commented on warping and chipping of the seasoning. I have cooked on cast iron and carbon steel pans for the last 42 years. What I have learned is that the pan needs to be heated gradually over 5 to 10 minutes to reach a good cooking temp. And, even tho these pans come pre-seasoned, oil or butter still needs to be applied to the surface. This keeps food from sticking and helps to build up the seasoning. I never use soap on cast iron or carbon steel pans. Hot water and a scraper, sometimes some kosher salt tends to do an excellent job of cleaning an keeping the seasoning in tact. I also hit the pan with oil after cleaning to maintain the surface and prevent rusting. So, a little mindful effort to cook, clean, and season these types of pans will ensure years of service and cooking enjoyment. This pan has been a versatile joy to cook with. In case you are wondering, I own Lodge, Le Cruset, Smithy, and Warner cast iron. I hope this review helps with your decision to buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best fifty dollars spent!!!

This skillet is worth every penny. First, I was a little hesitant to purchase it because the photo on Amazon showed a rather crude build. You could see welding on the corners in the inside and on all four sides. It must have been an older design because the one I got had no welding on the inside and the corners are welded on the outside and are smoothed out. There are rivets on the handles and not screws.
It is very easy to clean, almost nonstick. I use it for pancakes, eggs, bacon, heating tortillas, etc. Great for fajitas, since you could cook your meat and veggies in one pan.
If you want a large skillet this is the one to get. It will last forever.
Just keep in mind that if you use it as I do on two burners, the heat will be concentrated around the area of the burners. I wouldn’t say that is a problem with the skillet though. Besides, you could use that to your advantage to keep food from over cooking. I highly recommend this product.
