Not for Induction!

The description for this griddle stated for use with induction, but I learned from Lodge they do not recommend it for induction due to uneven heating which can cause it to warp. I’m disappointed as I’ve struggled to find a large griddle for our induction cooktop that has a synchronized dual burner. I got the dual burner so that I could continue preparing large family breakfast with ease, but now I can’t find a high quality griddle. It’s a nice griddle if you don’t want one of Lodge’s cast iron griddles which are my favorite.

I used it on my stove top to cook multiple food items.
Thin sliced meat,onions and mushrooms. They ALL stuck which made it hard to clean. Again season well!
Heat distribution was controlled by adjusting the gas burners.

I bought this hoping it would work well on an induction cooktop.
It works, but doesn't distribute the heat at all. Just cooks in the circles over the burners.
It works great as camping gear.

Not for smooth top stoves!

Amazon says not for use with induction stovetops, but if you look at Lodge’s website, it says not for smooth cooktops. Not the same thing. Of course I’m now having a problem with performance, but find out I’ve not been using it with the incorrect stovetop, so I’m out of luck on warranty. Great pan. Not for smooth tops.

This is exactly what I wanted for both grill and stove use. It is heavy, well made, and should probably last a lifetime if you take even rudimentary care of it. My only issue with it, as others have said is that, for some reason - even on moderate heat - it does tend to warp a little bit up at the sides, and starts rotating pretty easily. It has, so far, gone back to flat when it cools. For me, this is a minor annoyance, but I can see how it would bother some people and be more difficult in some situations.

This is a well made sturdy griddle, very versatile. Can be used for frying, grilling, or as a baking sheet for cookies, you name it. Would have given it 5 stars except the description states that the cooking surface is 10" x 18". The actual cooking surface is 9-1/4" x 17-1/4". Still a great pan though.

Great on the gas grill. Provides for even heat distribution. However, it can be difficult to clean. Suggest using excessive oil in the beginning. Your food will be shitty, but at least it won't stick. I wanted to get this to roast vegetables on the grill, and it does a great job.
