In the description there’s no indication of how to install these in the cooker. When I began to install them, I found I needed a 3/4” hole saw that would cut through metal. Of course I didn’t have one. Neither Home Depot or Lowe’s had these in stock. So, I’m still waiting for my special order to arrive so I can install them. They look great, much better than the one that came on my smoker, but I’ve now smoked 4 times since my thermometer arrived without the benefit of them!

Wish they were sealed better

I bought these to modify an offset smoker I just bought. To check the calibration as instructed, I put them in boiling water for about 4 minutes. One seemed to be right on and the other registered a notch lower. Close enough. However, both of them fogged up from moisture inside the glass. I'm not sure what will happen when the smoker is up and running. It may not be a problem at all. We'll see.

I purchased a two pack and installed them on my smoker today. When sitting idle in ambient air the top thermometer is significantly lower then the bottom. When the smoker is running however the top thermometer runs much higher then the one in the lower position. I’m planning on smoking a shoulder next weekend. I don’t have much confidence that these gauges will be accurate.

I checked the gauge for accuracy doing a boiled water test per the instructions. The one gauge was spot on, the other 10 degrees low. These are supposed to be adjustable gauges, I could not break the nut loose with an 8" adjustable wrench while holding the gauge. They ok for the money, if super accuracy is required spend the money for an ashcroft.

Good looking thermometer, but giving 3 star because mine are calibrated -10° at 150F. Gonna ramp up the heat, and see if it's consistent.
At least they're both measuring equally thus far, so if it stays 10° through the range, I'll accept it and maybe bump a star, otherwise I'm returning them.
Also used a digi and glass as controls to make sure it wasn't my own equipment that was off.

I love the 3 colored dials. They are easy to see,
I ordered these thinking they would be 3/4 NPT. In fact the description says 3/4 NPT
They were not. They are 1/8 NPT.
The Oklahoma Joe Smokers Require 3/4 NPT.
3/4 NPT means 3/4 National Pipe thread not the size of the hole. Its the size of the Thread.
Since I am going to drill new holes that's ok. But if you want them to fit the existing holes in the Oklahoma Joe you will need 1/2 NPT

3 stars, decided to test these before I drilled the smoker to install them, placed in boiling water and tested against my kitchen thermometer one reads accordingly and 1 gauge will not go over 200 degrees. Going to try one more time to see if I can get a gauge that works I do like the looks of them but I need TWo accurate gauges lol
