I set this watch 16 days ago and began wearing it. Since that time, it has gained nearly :04 seconds. The small analog display on the top right is next to useless. As another reviewer suggested, the advertisement display had to have been digitally enhanced because the the extremely thin lines indicating the clock hands are just barely visible. This makes the feature virtually useless to me except, possibly, in highly ideal light conditions. The very small world map display is even less useful. I cannot distinguish the zone delineation without a magnifying glass. Overall, having the black displays on a gray background is poorly planned.

Due to the many features of this watch, setting it is somewhat complex. The buttons are sensitive, and unintended pressure against your wrist as you move your hand will sometimes change the display; that has proven to be annoying. If you are in dim light, or need to use the illumination button, the viewing angle is very restrictive. Overall, this device is not particularly user friendly, in my opinion.

Take note: The description speaks of a 10 year battery life. This is FALSE. To explain, I will post the following quote from the included manual.
"Battery: lithium battery Type CR2025. Approximately 10 years lifespan based upon 10 seconds of alarm operation and 1.5 seconds of illumination per day.

***Initial Battery: The battery that comes loaded in your watch when you purchase it is used for function and performance testing at the factory. THIS TYPE OF TEST BATTERY MAY GO DEAD QUICKER THAN THE NORMALLY RATED BATTERY LIFE AS NOTED IN THE USER'S GUIDE. YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR REPLACEMENT OF THIS BATTERY EVEIN IF REPLACEMENT IS REQUIRED WITHIN THE WATCH'S WARRANTY PERIOD."

Mine lasted just over 2 years of on/off use. During this time it was quite frustrating to use because one of the buttons that is very easily pressed by accident during activities switches the time zone. So every time I looked at it the time was wrong and you'd have to cycle through every time zone until I got to mine. I didn't like this so I only used it when doing sports activities or labor where a more valuable watch I own might get damaged or lost. I used it on a couple open water scuba trips among other things at depths of about 60ft (rated 100m) and it worked fine afterwards. Then at a pool at waist-depth it started fogging up and would only clear after about 4-5 days of dryness. If exposed to any moisture it would fog up again. 3 weeks later it died completely. It looks nice, and the price is a bargain, but I've heard better things about the Casio F91W-1.

This watch has everything I want in a cheap wristwatch, EXCEPT that the band sucks. It's buckle is about a 1/3 to 1/2 inch too far toward the buckle side, so that if it's made just loose enough (to not cut off your hand's circulation) it keeps twisting around your wrist so the buckle is on the side (not back) of your wrist. After a month or more of this discomfort, I just replace the strap (plastic) with an old leather/nylon strap wrist band. Basically I think this Casio has a much more uncomfortable (read: poorly designed) strap than my former (essentially similar) Timex watch. (That's what I get for buying before trying on.) BTW, the light I very much like (the old Timex had similar). Stopwatch, alarms and similar functions are nice (Timex had similar). The world time functions is nice - I go between two adjacent time zones frequently, and that is a nice function (the Timex had a second time zone, but when you selected it it showed and then in a minute returned to the original time. That sucked!) The band, however, makes this just not recommended.

I bought this watch as a cheap time piece with the time zone feature as a selling point, since I am an otr driver running team, and can go through 3 time zones in a 24 hour period. At first the time zone feature was nice I programmed all 4 major time zone of the U.S.A. in. I quickly noticed though how it takes more time to find the time zone in the watch than is to add or subtract 1-2 hours to my home time (which is central time zone). I also notice the light when pressed is very dim and only last a couple seconds which is not good while driving and trying to read the time and what the date is. I am writing this review about a little over 3 months that I have had the watch cause is recently broke while working on the truck. The wristband broke were it attaches the the watch itself, not only did the pin detach but pulled from the watch deforming the inserts, making it unable to just replace the band.

Hey folks,

I just receive this item I bought, I must say, it was packed properly, after a physical examination, I must say the watch was received in good condition. Looked like it came right off the store glass case.

When I received the email from Amazon about the deals on the watched, I couldn't believe it. Its rugged, light, very durable band, features are great and simple to use with a simple display of the time.

I will strongly recommend for those who are looking for quality and quantity in a watch. Its cheap, worth the bucks and could be worn with anything. Both causal and informal.

I will recommend the watch for those who looking for a watch and can afford it, its not pricy and its a steal of a deal.

So its been a month and two weeks and the digits are all dim and faded. I visited a certified watch dealer in the area, asked him to have a look at it. its not the battery but manufacture defect. I tried contacting Amazon to have the item reshipped but no luck. Peeps please be careful . Hope no one gets caught in the shit I found myself in.

I am pretty rough on watches so I need a watch that can take a beating. This watch probably isn't doing the job. The buttons get stuck often. I haven't been able to reset the stopwatch function in a month now. The light is weak and doesn't have an option to make the lights stay on longer. The timezone thing is cool but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. It is cheap and does tell the time, can't go wrong with that. I have had it for almost 5 months now and I am already working on finding a replacement. If you plan on buying a new one every 6 months than this is the watch for you.

Purchased in October. By the following March the watch was dead. It is supposed to have a battery that lasts 11 years according to the manual. Amazon would not accept it for return or repair. Would not buy again.

I can't complain about the price for this watch, however I wouldn't recommend it. I bought this for my husband as a stocking stuffer. He needed a new watch and this was as close to us old Casio as I could find on Amazon. Well he hates it. If it gets bumped it changes the displayed time zone and he never seems to be on the correct one. It has stood up to his daily punishment but he is fed up with not knowing the correct time.
