2.0 out of 5 stars THE MOST HONEST REVIEW I COULD GIVE

An interesting one to leave a review on. Overall, I found this book to be far to out dated for this current day and age. It is full of historical references dating back to hundreds and hundreds of years ago. Although they are interesting to read about, I see no corrolation to the modern life. They are far to out dated and irrelevant and simply a waste. I got to Law 6 where I eventually got bored of reading it as I found it to be far to ‘historical’ and not just simple and ‘modern’. I’m sure many have found this book to be influential and worthwhile, but personally as a young man that is looking to boost his life I found this far to irrelevant. I don’t care about how for example a man from the 16th century won the love of a woman by doing ”…”, as in this current state of time everything has changed completely and woman will not be seduced in the same ways that they were hundreds of years ago. However, don’t get me wrong I found the historical examples somewhat interesting just not relevant to be honest. Thanks

It is just relentless way of achieving power and I don't know if I completely agree with the book. It has some messed up stuff.

2.0 out of 5 stars I couldn't read it to the end

I couldn't read it to the end because he seems too proud of himself. Maybe, I am mistaking but I shouldn't have bought it. I know that etymological speaking 'power' means 'gaining weight' and that the exact opposite I want to achieve. I was wrong and I am simply not the target group for this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not my cup of tea I will never gonna recommend this book to anyone

First of all I am not saying this book is bad it has absolutely what it says in the cover but the way the book is described I don't find it really appealing.
After going into 8 to 10 lessons I feel like I am going to end the world and full everybody around me and I will became a super con man. I don't think the the lessons this book told is really applicable in real world but the writing style is good though I don't personally like the content of the book. I feel if someone read this book their mindset towards the world will change and they look to every person as they want to make fool of them or take benefit from them at any cost.
If anyone read the book ok and inherit the lessons this book taught they will have much negative point of view on the world.

2.0 out of 5 stars The examples are so specific and abstract that it bares no resemblance to the nuances of real life

This book seems to have gotten fairly viral amongst the teen boy crypto cult crowd which makes me pretty scared. If you act like the 'laws' are gospel and project them in your life you will come off as a not a nice person. There is this misconception that you have to be this tough, cold and rude person playing the power game to become a CEO, this is not true be a good person and you'll be fine.

If you do want to improve your position in a business or what ever id advice getting a more specific book on that topic, this book is too general so likely will be of very little use

The cover looks cool though, it serves as a great decorative piece! And when my friends see it they always think im some power god pulling the strings of the universe

2.0 out of 5 stars Depends what you want from it...

This is a book which will help you understand the behaviours of unscrupulous people you will encounter in the world and moreover the methodology of their shenanigans. Which if you recognise the patterns you can hopefully short-circuit.

In my lay opinion following this book’s ‘laws’ may lead to changes in character and consequences in psyche and relationships. In a nutshell it’s a manual to maybe gain materially in the short term but with long term negative consequences to your mental, emotional and spiritual centres. Basically it’ll help you become a POS - yes I said it.

The 48 laws of power are the antithesis of how to conduct yourself with any morals or ethics in any interactions.

2.0 out of 5 stars An incredible non-sense book.

Robert Greene tries to become God and resume in this book all of his incredible techniques to gain power. Let me tell you: it’s a bunch of non-sensical stories about duty and knowledge that won’t bring you anywhere. They try to promote the book saying that VIP’s bought it and changed their life: I highly doubt it. If you believe that a book will give you power you are just trying to feed your ego and worsen your life. Go find knowledge, meditate and come back. Don’t believe this book.

Nothing extraordinary first of all it was a paperback and the content was mostly repetitive.Bismarck , Alexander, Caesar, Borgia , Galileo , Napoleon , Talleyrand,Mata Hari and a few swindlers of the 17-18 century dominating the entire book

To be honest, I did like many of those laws but not all. This book has a lot of things to offer. But no all things are worth reading. Typical storyline format. Not all chapters are great. Waste of time. You can listen to the audiobook on YouTube.
That's it.

2.0 out of 5 stars missing images

The book itself is very good and the quality of the pages seems good but none of the images have been generated. I got this issue with other amazon books as well, no images and image labels messed up where the images were supposed to be.
