Highly recommended, especially for those still playing their previous gen game catalogue on their consoles.
Using this with my PS5 (preferred the dual tone white-black color that matches my console, over the all-black PlayStation version of this drive) without any issues.
I use it to store & play PS4 games, leaving all the SSD storage for new-gen & native PS5 titles.
The HDD came with an XBOX GAME PASS ULTIMATE code card (2 nos. - 1 month validity each), and they still work despite the box stating that you need to use it by Nov-2021.
Just note that the codes won't work back-to-back as they're for new users. So you use one, let it expire and then use the next one.
