I got these to support my new found love for smoking meats. Having had the wood chips from Weber in the past, i thought I would try and chunks, for a longer smoke and slower burn.
So far I have tried these on both baby back ribs, and chicken wings and they work well with both. (ribs picture attached).
These chunks give a nice subtle smokey flavour to the ribs, and help to create a lovely bark and colour on the outside. They give a lovely smoke ring, using only 1 chunk for a 6 hour rib cook (the 3-2-1 method for those in the know). Fantastic results. Will definitely be using again.
The bag itself is a decent size, and will last for a good number of cooks (you only need 1-2 bits). Remember, your meat will only take on smoke for the first few hours, so don't waste your wood by adding after that time.
The packaging provided is great, tough bag with a resealable top - semi plastic feel which means it should keep water out - find to be kept in the shed or similar.
overall, great product, good price, quick and convenient delivery - would recommend.
