This little beauty does exactly what it says on the tin, within 15 minds your ready to rock and roll but more importantly you can start to bbq. I used 2 small fire lighters under the chimley and 15 Bob's your mother's uncles later I burnt my finger on the Long handle only because after I tipped out the coals I mistakenly allowed my finger to touch it briefly so beware this thing gets real hot but the plastic handle is fine (bit warm) but everything else is hot. The one feature I like about this item are the rivets holding the handle and shield to the chimley which are steel so they won't melt which after seeing that the cheaper chimleys use aluminum pop rivets making them a walking time bomb when they melt and you pour hot coals everywhere!.
I can confirm that this weber compact chimley does in fact fit inside the weber go anywhere bbq but you have to lift out the coal grill then place the chimley in then balance the large grill on top followed by the coal grill then you can put the lid on no problem.

Ottimo prodotto, decisamente un must per gli amanti del barbecue.
In pratica si tratta di un contenitore cilindrico in cui si mette parte della carbonella e che viene acceso da sotto utilizzando della carta oppure i soliti cubetti infiammabili. La forma della ciminiera fa effetto camino aumentando il flusso d'aria sulla carbonella e accelerando l'accensione della stessa. Tempo di stappare una birra e il contenuto è acceso e pronto per essere sparso sul resto della carbonella del bbq. Oltretutto se durante l'accensione lo appoggiate nel barbecue sul resto della carbonella l'effetto camino accenderà anche la carbonella sottostante (vedi foto che allego).
Attenzione che si scalda veramente tanto, quando il contenuto è acceso ci si può tranquillamente ustionare anche solo toccando le staffe che collegano l'impugnatura al corpo della ciminiera. Maneggiatelo con gli appositi guanti protettivi e state attenti a impugnarlo toccando solo l'apposita maniglia in materiale plastico.
Quando il bbq non è in uso trova tranquillamente posto all'interno del bracere. Semplice e pratico.

I grew up with my Dad as master of the Barbeque. I remember him getting the coals going with a blow torch which seemed to take a genuinely long time. He vacated his throne so I have taken up the reign. First things first a nice new Weber BBQ and one of these chimney starters. Filled it up, two fire lighters underneath, sit back and wait. The initial ignition is a bit a
of a smokey affair but that may just be the briquettes I'm using, within ten minutes it's thoroughly ablaze and burning much cleaner. Keep an eye on it until it's smouldering good and hot, welding glove on and briquettes into the BBQ. Lid on while everything heats up and then it's time to show the subjects I'm worthy of the title of BBQ King. I would follow the recommendation to wear a heat resistant glove when handling it when it's hot, I got a pair of welding gloves for a few piund as BBQ gloves are a total ripoff.

“Its a miracle device” my husband says who was reluctant to use it at first, but now loves it. He also says that he does not need to use chemical fire starters and uses just apprx 2 A4 paper sheets instead. He puts the paper under the coal and lights the paper. BBQ READY within 10-15 mins, this is less than a half a glass of wine to me! I dont need to wait too long under the smoke while my husband uses my hair dryer battling away to start the BBQ. We used it almost everyday during the hot weather of the lockdown and Weber never failed us. Great design.

After years of struggling to get charcoals uniformly lit and putting up with noxious fumes of lighter fluid I decided to give this a try. I was sceptical at first but after seeing all the YouTube reviews of this I just had to have a go. I must say it has cut down the wait time to 15 mins from a good 40 mins or so. It just needs a good amount of combustible material underneath it- newspaper or even the brown paper packaging Amazon ships this with. Works a treat. You won’t be disappointed.
