Se trata de un cable de red (RJ45) de categoría 8 que, según el fabricante, puede llegar a los 40 Gbps a una frecuencia de 2000MHz.

El cable viene perfectamente empaquetado en una caja precintada (ver fotos). Esto me ha gustado porque muchas cosas que compro a veces por Amazon no vienen precintadas debidamente, dando lugar a especulaciones. A su vez, el cable viene dentro de la típica bolsita de plástico. En mi caso, adquirí el cable de 15 metros cat 8 para sustituir a otro de la misma marca de cat 7 que se había roto en la zona de la patilla de plástico del conector, necesaria para que no se salga el cable de la ranura.

El cable tiene un grosor aproximado de unos 6mm, aunque admite cierta deformación. Esto es muy útil si, como un servidor, os veis obligados a pasarlo por esquinas o huecos complicados (ver fotos). El material exterior del cable es de algodón trenzado, me ha recordado en cierto modo a los típicos cables de las planchas. Se nota que es de calidad.

En el aspecto técnico quería señalar que, hoy en día, es complicado comprobar si cumple lo que promete porque las conexiones no alcanzan esas velocidades ni de lejos. El tiempo lo dirá. La pregunta sería si, asumiendo que alcance dichas velocidades, merece la pena comprar este cable o quedarse con uno de categoría inferior, sensiblemente más económico. Esto lo tendrá que decidir cada uno. Para ello, también debéis tener en cuenta otros aspectos más allá de la velocidad, como son el tema de la estabilidad de la transmisión o la fortaleza/construcción del propio cable. Huelga decir que, el día que las conexiones de internet mejoren y alcancen dichas velocidades, tendréis el cable adecuado para ello.

En mi caso, no he notado un aumento de velocidad, aunque era lo lógico porque va al máximo que puede ir. Tengo una absurda cantidad de metros de cable desde mi router hasta el switch (un TP-Link gigabit), a los que tengo que sumar otros 15 metros correspondientes a este cable. Vamos, que mi instalación es un despropósito, pero claro, es muchísimo mejor que el WiFi y sus dichosos cortes de señal, inestabilidad, pérdida de velocidad, etc. Adjunto un par de capturas de test de velocidad: una con un cable cat 7 y otra con el de cat 8. Lo dicho, no he notado diferencias significativas de velocidad porque no dependen del cable sino de mi instalación.

En definitiva, creo que es un buen cable, de gran velocidad y estabilidad. Lo he comprado como inversión de futuro, para no tener que pasar por caja otra vez en unos años, y porque quiero una buena calidad en la conexión, además, al ser de algodón trenzado en lugar de plástico, resulta perfecto para pasarlo por esquinas y zonas intrincadas. De momento, estoy muy contento con mi compra..

Edito 1: Me ha gustado tanto que he comprado otro cable de 3m para la TV. Tan solo añadir que el de 15m venía en una caja y éste otro en una especie de bolsita (añado su foto).

J'ai acheté ce câble pour brancher directement la box sur le pc en 1m.
Le câble et les embouts sont très solides et de très bonne qualité.

Cependant pour avoir testé le débit à plusieurs reprises, une perte de débit notable par rapport au 5e fourni par orange. Autant dire que c'est la déception à ce niveau.

Que ce soit identique j'aurai compris mais inférieur non.
Plusieurs tests, résultat avec ce câble 500 Mbps, et avec le câble de 2 m catégorie 5e, 750 Mbps.

Au vu du prix et de la description c'est retour du produit pour moi.

Je conseille pour les personne qui veulent un câble de qualité très solide mais si vous voulez avoir le meilleur débit ce n'est pas ce câble qu'il faut.
