These space-saving stacking stainless bowls are a great way to add many bowls to your kitchen collection. They're made of a medium grade material and are lightweight. On first inspection, they arrived in perfect condition. However, on first use, I noticed a grey residual material on my countertop. Most likely from having not thoroughly washed the bowls prior to first use. Although I had used soap and water, it required another thorough scrub. Luckily I had on hand some Barkeepers Friend and gave these a thorough scrubbing outside and inside. Especially around the top edges where a black residue (most likely from the manufacturing process) was removed. After that thorough cleaning, I did not see any marks on my countertop and was confident I had removed the film leftover from manufacturing.
The bowls are very shiny and new when first received. Packaging was sufficient. They arrived on time. So I am happy with the purchase. I just caution anyone receiving anything like this to thoroughly scrub before using.
