After reading reviews I was exited to receive it then I was disappointed because it dries off very quickly on your nail so fast that it leaves the surface of the nail with print of the brush, you have to pain your nails very quickly, I don’t know maybe I got the old product does anyone have this problem too?

‘Punch It Up’ is a mid tone pink nail polish with a subtle gold shimmer and it’s from the Essie treat love & colour collection, which is their new vegan formula breathable nail polish which they say is a nourishing & strengthening formula that can give stronger nails in 3 days with 60% less peeling and 35% less breakage.

It’s what my weak, soft peeling nails have been crying out for!

I was intrigued by this ‘Treat, Love, Colour’ nail polish because I have always had very bendy nails which split and peel easily, in fact my middle finger nail is suffering from a bout of terrible peeling at the moment!

The 13.5ml nail polish arrived in its own specific box which is handy if you have a lot of these as you can see the colour at a glance on the lid. The instructions say to apply to clean bare nails as this is a breathable one step formula it requires neither a base nor a topcoat.

The 1st coat applied a little streaky and patchy but as it says to apply 2 coats, I did and this made it fully opaque and smooth. It was easy to apply thanks to the brush which fans out nicely and the slightly curved edge helped me achieve a fairly neat finish (even with a shaky hand!).

The colour is listed as a mid tone pink with a gold shimmer, but honestly, I didn’t see the gold shimmer! On examining the bottle under a light I could see the gold, but sadly, i couldn’t see it at all on my nails.

The shade seemed to change from mid pink to salmon pink according to what light I was in too and it definitely looks lighter on my nails than in the advertised picture, but It’s still a nice pink nonetheless. It took a little longer to dry than I’m used to, but as this isn’t advertised as fast drying polish - more of a treatment, I was willing to wait!

I cannot comment, as yet, on the impact this has had on my nails as I’ve only had it on for 1 day but I will come back and update this review in a week or so time. So far I have high hopes for this polish as it applied well, the colour is nice and the finished result looked smooth and shiny. It is vegan in origin meaning it contains no animal derivatives, I wish this also meant that it was cruelty free but it seems there is a little bit of uncertainty surrounding this.

Damaged my nails

I bought 'minimally modest' . It is more white than pink, but sheer, as advertised. However, it is not very durable, even 2 coats chipped within 24 hours. But worst of all, it seemed to damage my nails, rather than protecting them. I usually have reasonably strong nails, but after using this for 2 weeks various nails have formed splits and the surface has flaked off them, making them weak - the opposite of what this product promises. I have never had this with any other nail polish. So I can only say that, for me at least, this polish does not deliver.

Brilliant. My nails were noticeably harder & stronger within days and they are growing better than I’ve ever noticed them in my life.

The only issue is this needs dry time like standard nail polish. Be aware, if you’re a fan of Essie gel couture, do NOT use this as a base- nail polish will never dry, completely incompatible.

Color: Treat Me BrightVerified Purchase

This is my third bottle of Treat Me Bright, and I had to hunt on Amazon for it because I couldn't find it in the usual places (pharmaceutical footwear and super pharmaceuticals >wink<). It really does a great job of strengthening nails, as you can see from the photo, which are my natural nails. I like Treat Me Bright because it makes your nails look whiter without having to do a French manicure, and it has a subtle sparkle which is really pretty. I usually put on two coats, then a coat of Seche Vite (which smells like a mechanics workshop, but is a truly brilliant protective top coat) and it will last all week without any issues. Then on Sundays, I take it all off, file my nails, sort my cuticles out, give 'em a good soaking with cuticle oil, and reapply for another week.

So I’ve been growing my own nails for a few months now and I discovered this range of nail polish. I love it so much!! If you use this along with OPI nail envy as a base coat, your nails will be in amazing condition within a few months. The nail polish is very hard wearing too and that’s coming from someone who was addicted to gel polish previously. For this colour you need a few coats. It’s easy to remove and doesn’t stain your nails. It doesn’t take too long to dry either although I’d do my nails on a day where I’m not having to use my hands that much just to avoid smudges. I’d highly recommend!
