The title says it all. My partner snores to wake the living dead. He blissfully snorts, gurgles, gasps and snuffles while I lay wide awake imagining all the ways I could murder him because I cannot fall asleep due to his ridiculously loud bellows. Enter Stage Right the most perfect of sleep headphones. I had tried my earbuds before but they hurt like hell when I tried to sleep on my side. I was also worried that in a fit of rage I would wrap the connecting wires around my partner’s neck just so I could get some silence. I found these headphones and at 3 in the morning I thought, well why not. They. Are. Awesome. I can sleep comfortably with the headband on. The volume control is great. It doesn’t 100% drown out the thunderous bursts issuing forth from the partner but the stream of sleep music I listen to combined with the comfort of the headband allows me to concentrate on my own private island of happiness and eventually I can fall asleep and stay asleep. I cannot recommend these earphones enough. They rock and they have kept me out of prison. A win-win.

I love love love these! I have been suffering from insomnia for over a year. Partly because my husband snores so loudly. I’ve tried regular ear buds, which fall out, sleep aids, you name it. Nothing else was working, so finally broke down and bought these. I’m so glad I did!

Last night I wore these sleep headphones for the first time and fell asleep so fast! I put white noise on my amazon prime music and it completely drowned out the snoring!

Definitely try these if you have trouble falling asleep. They were super comfy and easy to sync with my phone. The instructions were quite detailed but they were so easy I didn’t need to read the instructions.

Esta diadema lleva el módulo digital en la parte frontal, con tres botones: el botón central permite encender/apagar el aparato con una pulsación larga, y hacer play/pause con una pulsación corta. Otros dos botones laterales con pulsación corta hacen avance/retroceso del audio/música, y con una pulsación larga suben/bajan el volumen.

Lleva unos mini-altavoces del tamaño aproximado de una moneda de dos euros. Dentro de la diadema, es posible moverlos un poco hacia adelante o atrás para que coincidan perfectamente sobre tus oídos. La calidad de audio es muy razonable para este tipo de aparato, se escucha bien. El volumen me parece suficiente, e incluso me sobra si en el smartphone subo el volumen más de la mitad: en tal caso tengo que bajar el volumen en la diadema, pues son independientes. Quienes se quejan de que este aparato no tiene suficiente volumen seguramente no se han dado cuenta de que también pueden subir el volumen multimedia en el smartphone y con los dos al máximo yo obtengo un nivel demasiado alto que llega a ser molesto. Para mí, lo idóneo es poner el smartphone con el volumen multimedia en 4 (de 15) y el de la diadema en el máximo o en un punto menos.

No incorpora cancelación activa de ruido exterior y la cinta-diadema tampoco aisla del ruido ambiente que pueda haber. Con la diadema puesta puedes mantener una conversación con otra persona que hable en tono normal.

Teniendo los mini-altavoces justo sobre los oídos no necesitas mucho volumen, pero si hay otra persona durmiendo en la misma cama es probable que escuche algo del sonido porque tampoco tiene ningún aislamiento acústico hacia el exterior. Eso puede llegar a molestar a tu pareja si es de las personas que necesitan silencio para dormir.

En la parte trasera interior hay una abertura por la cual se puede extraer la punta del cable de alimentación, hembra micro-usb. A su vez, la caja añade un pequeño cable macho micro-usb a USB, para enchufar a un cargador tipo smartphone o al puerto USB de un ordenador. Pero no trae el cargador.

Las instrucciones especifican que debe usarse un cargador-alimentador que aporte entre 100 y 500 miliamperios. Si no tienes un cargador adecuado, se puede cargar en el puerto USB del ordenador, que suele aportar 500 mA; por fortuna yo tenía guardados dos antiguos alimentadores-cargadores de 150 mA y uno lo he instalado en la mesilla para recargar este chisme cada día. Algunos compradores se han quejado de que "en menos de 3 meses la batería deja de cargar" y seguramente haya sido por haber utilizado un cargador inadecuado, como el de un smartphone, que aporta demasiada intensidad para este aparato y eso deteriora la batería, según se indica en las instrucciones.

El aparato no indica el nivel de carga de la batería, ni por indicadores luminosos (led) ni por indicaciones acústicas. Tampoco informa de ninguna forma cuando la batería está a punto de agotarse, simplemente se apaga sin aviso alguno. Cuando lo pones a cargar verás en el frontal un led rojo que confirma que se está recargando la batería. Una vez que ha terminado, el led se pone azul para decirte que la carga se ha completado y puedes desenchufarlo.

El emparejamiento se hace de forma bastante sencilla. La primera vez que lo enciendes se pone en modo emparejamiento (en el frontal verás un led intermitente que cambia de rojo a azul todo el rato) y debes emparejarlo manualmente desde el smartphone (eligiendo el dispositivo que aparecerá con el nombre "BT-FAAH"). Las veces siguientes la conexión es automática tras encender este aparato, siempre que el smartphone emparejado tenga el Bluetooth activado. Si alguna vez el smartphone tiene el Bluetooth apagado (o está demasiado alejado) el dispositivo se pondrá en modo emparejamiento y así podrás emparejarlo con otro smartphone distinto.

La diadema textil es elástica y tiene un tamaño bastante adecuado para la cabeza de cualquier adulto. Yo soy un varón bastante cabezón y me la noto un poquito apretada, pero no me llega a molestar. Creo que el tejido es sintético, pero me parece agradable al tacto. Si estando dormido das vueltas en la cama es posible que la diadema se desplace un poco y los altavoces ya no coincidan justo en los oídos, pero te darás cuenta y volverás a colocarlo correctamente sin esfuerzo. En verano puede suponer algo de problema por el calor y/o el sudor. Es posible extraer de la diadema todos los componentes electrónicos para lavar la parte textil en la lavadora.

El aparato viene en una cajita de cartón. Además de la diadema con sus elementos electrónicos, la caja añade un pequeño cable para recargar la batería y un pequeño folleto desplegable con instrucciones en inglés.

Creo que me va a resultar últil porque tengo insomnio y me resulta más fácil dormirme si escucho un podcast de historia (u otra cosa de tipo documental), que me mantiene distraído evitando que mi mente se concentre en asuntos personales o en otras cosas. Antes usaba unos auriculares intraurales pero el cable era un engorro. Con este aparato estoy más cómodo y libre para moverme sin tirones del cable ni preocupaciones de ese tipo. Me ha gustado mucho y me parece que tiene un precio razonable (23 euros), por lo cual le doy las 5 estrellas. Es más, voy a comprar otro para tener recambio por si se me rompe y para usar uno cuando el otro esté sudado o lavándose.

I bought these based on the great reviews from those using them for a peaceful nights sleep from snoring partners.
I excitedly told my other half that he would no longer be in danger of be smothered in his sleep due to his pneumatic drill snoring all night!!!
I could not have been more wrong. Got into bed, started playing my white noise, laying on my back. Ah bliss 😊.....for ten minutes!!!!!
The snoring started. Lightly at first but I could still hear it over my white noise.
I turned the volume up to try and drown out, his not, so dulcet tones. In fact I had to turn it up so high that it sounded like I was at a 'white noise' rave.....absolutely not relaxing at all! Yet still, the snoring was still as evident and annoying as ever. Not even muted in the slightest.
I tried lying on my side.... nope, the little speakers dug into my ears so much so that it wasnt just uncomfortable, it was painful, no matter how I adjusted them. Turned over, maybe it was my left ear was a bit more sensitive but no.
So I now both my ears hurting and I was starting to feel a bit sick with the level of the 'white noise' on full blast. Could it get any worse???
I feel a tap on my shoulder.... apparently I've woken my other half up!!!!
So to recap, speakers are not soft, at all.
It does not cancel noise, at all.
And what you are listening to is evident to everyone around you, including snoring, sleeping partners!
However, on the plus side, despite all of the things this should do but doesnt, which is just about everything it advertises itself as, the sound is of decent quality even on full blast!

I purchased these to play the masking/blocking sounds for Tinnitus from the app on my phone to replace the big heavy Bluetooth headphones I have been using. I do wear a large hat size and this band is just at the limit to fit on my head and still have the speakers over my ears. The headband is light and breathable so it is comfy for many hours of wear. The sound quality is surprisingly good. I can have the volume at the appropriate level to mask the Tinnitus and still hear what is going on around me, even watch TV. Now I can nap wearing this with the Tinnitus blocker on and comfortably wear my sleep mask as well.
