I will be returning these. They did not come in the cool box, paint work was patchy in spots, the F22 didn't work and they are more plastic with some type of metal covering. I have several true diecast airplanes such as the B17 and B24 liberator and the only plastic on those are the propellers and the tires. This product is very misleading and dissapointing.

I noticed alot of planes we bought lately will say they're diecast metal when in fact they are plastic with a zinc "alloy" which they then flat out misleading, claim it's die cast metal. These are REAL STEEL! Great detail and quality. 1 star off because 1 (real rubber, not plastic!) wheel was torn in half, but I chalk that up to a fluke and not indicative of overall quality. Would be nice if they sent a replacement tho!
I'm seeing a lot of negative reviews you won't get one from me. Perhaps people are getting different items than I received. But all four aircraft arrived in perfect condition. They are definitely die cast metal for the most part. Some of the rear stabilizers are plastic, but the fuselage, the main wings and the landing gear are all metal. The paint detail was excellent and the pull backs work well on all 4 aircraft. My grandson won't put them down. Are these suitable for a serious collector? Definitely not. And if you think there's a chance of this at $20, then you're dreaming. But are they excellent, high quality toys to show off to your friends? Definitely!
I am using this as a work from home desk toy, so it won't be heavily "used" but observed. That said, the quality is better than I expected. There are no visible defects and I DID check that all of them pulled-back and rolled properly (the cats enjoyed this immensely), good to go on that front. They're bigger than I expected but not too big and that was a pleasant surprise - about a size of my palm depending on the jet. Overall, I'm glad I finally went for it; they look as badass as I hoped they would.
The packaging was a bit skimp though, they were sat in a straight/long piece of plastic. Still, they were protected well by a good amount of the usual amazon-style packaging (big bubbles).
I have two boys, ages 3 and 5. Bought these for their Easter basket. They were so excited when they saw them (they look cool) but the back wings were broken by the end of the day. Cheap plastic and not sturdy enough for little kids to actually play with.
