Effective on Le Creuset Cast Iron Pans

I've used these since May 2017 and initially didn't think they were particularly useful. However, I persevered and now find they are my go-to pan scourers after cooking oil-free egg-fried rice, porridge, or just burning food on the inner base (not intentionally), etc. basically anything that sticks to the bottom or side of the pans.
Personally, I now let the pan soak for a while then the sticky residue just lifts off as the scraper slides underneath. Oven trays/roasting pans need to be soaked a little longer with some diluted washing-up liquid otherwise you risk damaging the pan's nonstick surface or the scraper.

When I first used them I attacked pans the second they had cooled down and just created a lot of unnecessary work - I did get them clean but it wasn't the best way to use these scrapers.

They are particularly effective on my Le Creuset Cast Iron Pans where the recipe or food such as porridge, doesn't call for oil. I didn't know that the pretty coating on Le Creuset pans is basically glass and over many years have used heavy-duty scourers, sodium bicarb, wire wool, and all sorts of cleaning products that I shouldn't have. Now the inner coating of my main Le Creuset pan is dull and has no non-stick ability whatsoever yet baked-on casseroles, hot pots, dumplings, porridge, and egg-fried rice all scrape off easily provided the pan has been left to soak.

I admit I had my doubts about their usefulness when I bought these, but I'm really happy I did. In addition to the cast iron skillet, I use them on my wok, my expensive stainless steel pans, and my enameled dutch ovens -- anything that needs a little TLC to stay nice. The smart design with rounded end, pointier end, longer and shorter scraping sides and curved side makes it easy to get at the stuff that needs attention in various shaped pans, and they've turned out so handy I always keep one in a little cup by my sink. I'm also pleased that it's a set of two so I have a backup for my now indispensable little helper.

2020 update:

I'm changing this to 5 stars from 3 stars.

With practice and experience you just work around the greasy issue. I can now clean off my cast iron trays, whip around my circular skillets, and even clear out stainless steel pans from scrambled egg in a jiffy.

This pair have taken so much grief and they're still as good as the day I bought them.

I wouldn't be without them next to the sink alongside my brush, for keeping my cast iron and stainless cookware clean!

They're ok but your hand/fingers and the scraper can end up really greasy.

You then need to wash your hands and the scraper away from the cookware to avoid soaping it, and then do your usual brush clean with just hot water.

Maybe I'm using them wrong but with just a brush I never seem to get such greasy hands.

Maybe best to scrape second after brushing first?
Then brush again?

There's little to say about these items other than they do the job perfectly, whilst not being so abrasive they damage the pans. They're pretty solid items so haven't damaged at all, and the shape of them is perfect in that they're able to be used on all of my pans of any shape and size. They're a pretty good investment, and seem to be holding up well so I shouldn't have to replace them too frequently.

Don't use on a hot pan it can melt. Otherwise great. I run hot water from the tap over the griddle or fill the frying with hot water then scrape away. Finish off with the lodge brush then stick on hob for a few mins to dry and season a little with any oily residues. Very easy.
