I was looking for a smaller charcoal grill to use when I didn’t feel like firing up the smoker or our regular 22-inch pit. There’s really no need to if I’m just cooking for 1 - 2 people. Going with this grill was an easy choice. I went with this grill especially because it folds up and can easily be stored in a bag. This means you can bring it with you camping, tailgating, etc. The grill itself comes with a convenient carrying bag and it includes two grates, as well as three sets of tongs. Setting the grill up takes seconds and I love that I can fold it up and put it away when I’m done. Cleaning it is also very easy. You really just need to give it a quick wipe down once you’ve dumped all of the charcoal out.

The number one virtue of this grill is its compactness. When folded up, the whole kit (comes with two grates) is about the size of a magazine. It seems well constructed, yet it's light and compact, and it sets up in two seconds.

But ... The air flow can't be controlled, and it burns through A LOT of charcoal, which kind of negates its compact profile. It won't get as hot as I like, either. It's OK for kabobs, burgers, dogs, etc. and if I need a cover, I just use some foil. Big enough to cook for two.

The Weber Smokey Joe is a vastly superior grill, but I keep this one in my RV because I can store it anywhere.

I was hoping I would love this, but it's just ok. The charcoal sits at the very bottom in the v-shape of the BBQ, and the grill grate at top is much wider so not all of the food is exposed to the heat from the charcoal. I was constantly moving food around into a hot spot so it cooked properly. I love that it folds up and fits into the bag for easy transportation.

The good very portable and packs almost flat and cools down quickly. The bad it takes awhile for grill to heat up to cook, alittle heavy but not a problem for me other may disagree as its not light weight. Lastly the carrying case is horrible if it folded over itself that would be great but top is open and soot and derbis go everywhere. I like it but there's room for improvement
