Great carryon item, but don't overstuff it

I got this in the large size in black for a work trip. First, it's pretty functional and I do really like all of the pockets and how easy it is to pack it. It's very rectangular...and it feels like you're wearing a rectangle. But it's very easy to pack because it's so rectangular. The laptop sleeve is deep and very well padded and protected. However, the bag became very heavy very fast, and if you have a laptop in the back sleeve compartment, be prepared to walk very upright like you have a board strapped to your back...because you do. Also, the hidden back pocket is basically inaccessible once you put a laptop into the laptop compartment and especially if there is no give elsewhere in the body of the bag.

Usually I like to travel carryon only as much as possible, so I'll have a rolling bag as my carry on and a separate bag for my personal item, both as large as possible to maximize carryon capacity. I'll gate check the rolling bag if they ask for volunteers. This backpack was intended to be my personal item on a recent trip I took with about 6 flights, all domestic, ranging from 2-10 hours per flight. It was a relief when I was able to put it on my rolling bag. On my first flight out with this bag, it was really crowded and they needed people to gate check, so I gate checked my rolling bag. It was a good thing I did, because I didn't realize that with this backpack packed to full capacity, it would no longer fit under the seat in front of me. By full capacity I mean that it was full--zippers not bulging but still needed to stuff to get things into each compartment. I thought it would be OK with the compression straps, but it wasn't. I had to put it in the overhead bin and I felt so guilty about that, but it just wasn't going to fit. I was able to put it under the seat on my other legs as long as I didn't stuff it to capacity, and I made sure to take care with packing for the rest of my flights on that trip (although I still ended up gate checking my rolling bag because all of my flights were just that full...welcome to post-pandemic domestic travel, I guess). It's just a little bit too easy to overpack; you mostly need to be careful with not putting too much into the front pocket, and no more than one layer clothing or the equivalent in the main body. You should still be able to compress down; if the compression straps don't need to be tightened then you've got too much inside.

Otherwise, this bag was fine for the trip but more awkward and uncomfortable than I anticipated. I think it was an OK purchase overall. It came back looking like it was still brand new. The zippers all still work and the clips are all still perfect. I liked the water bottle pocket. I didn't try to use the USB charging setup and honestly I don't really see myself having a use for it and would prefer it just wasn't there. Be very careful to not overpack if using this as your personal item. Otherwise, it was OK. You could spend your money on worse bags.

Just used it on a 21/2 week trip to Europe and passed as my personal bag for allegiant. Then used it on another trip using spirit and jet blue and was totally fine! 10/10 recommend this bag so you don’t have to pay a carry on fee.

I was so excited about this backpack. I went to Singapore for a study abroad course. I put my hp notebook in it.. my power bank so I can charge my cell at the airport, a part of my slippers, and thin loungewear so I can easily change clothes (because I knew my flight would be a total of 22 hours). I also had my charging cords and my basic supplies for school. This backpack had pockets everywhere to put your little things. The only downfall was that this backpack is heavy. As soon as I put my notebook (which is a light laptop ie: Chromebook) it made the bag heavy. I'm 5'3 and 118 pounds and I found it uncomfortable to travel through the airport with it. It was convenient when having to put it thru the X-ray because I could conveniently grab the electronics out from its compartment. It also didn't fit under the seat in front of me on the plane for Singapore airlines. I had no choice but to put it in the compartment bin. I think this backpack is ideal for travel because it has it all. But, if you're a petite person you might find this a little bit of a challenge. I'm giving this backpack to my husband for his business travels.

We purchased this so we could avoid checking bags. This provided us with another "small" suitcase of room to bring more things. We have used this on several airlines with no issues or challenges on the size. If its filled they are larger.

Me fue muy útil la mochila para mi próximo viaje a México pero lo que me desagradó es que doblaron la mochila y trae una parte donde puedes guardar la computadora pero al momento que al empacarla la doblaron queda un poco doblada de la parte de atrás eso no me gusto deberían tener mucho cuidado al empacar si no cabe en esa caja usar una caja más grande pero no meter las cosas a la fuerza en la caja Amazon deben checar cómo empacan sus empleados para que el cliente quede contento con su compra ya que yo trabajo en Nordstrom y mi prioridad es que el cliente quede contento y satisfecho al recibir su orden

It is a great bag, but I thought it would be much bigger. I wanted to take it for a weekend trip, but it did not fit all of my things. I think the shoe compartment is kind of pointless because it takes up most of the inside space.
