zcomfy little set ....

Fitted well on my head and nice and comfy to wear which is lucky as my husband is likely to use this for several hours at a time.

Came really quickly and nicely packaged so will look great as a gift. The headset itself is nice quality with a glossy finish. Extra pads provided which come in handy.

I've only tried this on android phone and it was really easy to set up .. to tell you the truth I wanted to test this before I gave it to my husband as I wanted to check it was good quality ... I was pretty daunted with the set up but it comes with good instructions and was really easy to get going .. I didn't realise it was so basic in terms of it only took me a few minutes to get going ... I imagined it might be a bit more complicated but I needn't have worried.

My husband is going to get hours of fun with this while I claim back the tv remote yey!! Its compatable with a variety of phones and much better quality than one we got our nephew last year ... good value for money so pleased I bought this.

I have to admit I bought this product out of curiosity? I am a big VR fan and wondered how good something that's as cheap as chips would fair.
The unit itself is well put together and well thought out. Sturdy construction good adjustment on the lenses, straps are adequate, although the unit is a bit front heavy once you phone is inserted and the tray that holds the phone included some foam tabs you can install to prevent the power button on your phone being pressed each time you install it. I use a Samsung S8+ which I would suggest is as big a hand set as you will get in to the device. easy to set up, load a couple of free demos and off you go. The customer service was excellent. I received a couple of emails after my purchase with an e-manual and a link to a set up video.

On the down side I found the padding around the head set was not firm enough and after ½ an hour the unit hurt the bridge of my nose. Also there was a link on the packaging for some free demo downloads but the link appeared to be invalid? So I used Google play store.

You can't compare this to a PSVR or an Oculus product as the prices are light years apart but the problem for me is that if this was your 1st experience of VR you will likely be disappointed and not pursue the format, and if enough people do that then developers will not advance the format due to the user base being too small. It's like the first time you go to Euro Disney and you think its great! Right up to the day you visit Disneyland Florida and you realise that actually Euro Disney is pretty rubbish!

I don't want to rubbish this item because, for the price you are paying its a good product, I just don't think it is a good representation of what VR can do. I have been know to use my PSVR for 5 or 6 hours but I used this item for 45 minutes then returned it to the box and it hasn't been out since! I am however now looking at an oculus quest as I like the concept of completely wireless VR. So the purchase was not a complete waste of time and hopefully some of the people that purchase this will come to the same conclusion and move to a proper headset, albeit "unfortunately" at a "proper price"

Premesso che per il prezzo non ci si possa aspettare molto, fa il suo lavoro.
Chiariamo che la qualità dell'immagine restituita è proporzionale alla risoluzione del display, in fondo sono due lenti che raddrizzano un immagine, se l'immagine è scadente lo sarà e punto.
Nota dolente, dopo alcuni minuti fa male il naso nel punto in cui il visore appoggia, ci voleva un po' piu di imbottitura.
Il risultato c'è e l'effetto 3D è reale ma, a meno di avere un display 4K sul telefono, la griglia dei pixel è evidente. Ad esempio, il mio schermo ha una risoluzione max di 1080p ed ovviamente non supporta risoluzioni più alte, che sono da prediligere per un'esperienza più realistica.
Per i videogames va benissimo, per film o clip ci si deve accontentare.
Nel mio caso è stato uno sfizio dettato dalla curiosità e va bene cosi, se invece volete qualità dovrete innanzitutto partire da una sorgente ad alta risoluzione ed orientarvi su prodotti dotati di lenti migliori e spendere di più.

This is a great starter virtual reality headset especially for the price. It's basically a pair of goggle that you slide your phone into it and anything that you can see on your phone through the goggles, so there's no need to by an expensive VR gaming system.

It's very sturdy and securely made there is a comfortable mesh padding that goes around the perimeter so you can wear it for a long period of time and it will not hurt your face. The headset is very snug and secure since there are 3 adjustable straps that cradles your head. On the front there is a little door that opens up so that you can see without taking your headset off. The phone cradle slides out from the side, there is an adjustable section that allows different phone sizes and a centre marker so that the phone can easily be lined up.

On the top of the headset there as controls that independently moves the lens left and right depending on the location of your eyes as well as forwards and back for focusing. Once set these controls do not need to be touched again. The viewing direction is controlled by the phone and it feels like you are in the game or video.

The only feature that is missing is external control, eg for gaming or selecting options as this needs to be done with the phone removed from the headset.

For £30 this headset looks good value. The biggest problem is you cannot use it if you wear glasses (64% of adults do) the lenses are far too close to be able to focus properly & you are likely to damage your spex lenses by trying. The phone fitment is very poor and the mount then slides in to the headset - not easy so you miss stuff. There is a padded surround which is comfy but nothing on the nose - this is actually painful and leaves a red mark on your hooter to prove it. The lenses can be moved forward, backward and side to side but the quality of plastic lenses is very poor so complete focus is impossible.
For me this was £27.99 spent on finding out what the issues are with headsets, this was a first time for me.
Overall you can get much better by spending an extra tenner - I’m pretty sure you can’t get worse
