When you are buying batteries, you are thinking about:
1) Battery life
2) Quality of the product

Some of the reviews here scared me. After a few minutes of considering, I decided to order the batteries and try them myself.
I have always been using batteries from Duracell, Panasonic and etc..
and I honestly feel no difference in terms of the battery life.
The quality is as great as the ones from the major brands, so I decided to stick with AmazonBasics for batteries.

I really hope my review helps some of you.

Didn’t Last Long. Using in Wall Clock, 1st one lasted 40 days & 2nd one lasted 47 days only. A normal Zinc Carbon (Dry Cell) lasts 6-8 months and are much much cheaper.

These are not Alkalines I guess... not even Zinc Carbon (Dry Cell).

Very much dissatisfied as I Bought them over Duracell because of the pricing and “amazon basics” assurance. SHAME AMAZON

One out of every $10 of AmazonBasics sales goes to batteries, and the AA battery makes up about 4 percent of AmazonBasics’ sales, which is apparently enough for AmazonBasics to overtake established battery brands like Energizer and Panasonic.

Batteries are produced largely and ironically using fossil fuels, and they are only able to supply less than 1 percent of the amount of energy used to produce them. When you add up all of the emissions, a battery-powered device actually has a larger carbon footprint than an appliance that’s plugged into a wall.

There’s still a lack of consensus when it comes to what you should do with your battery at the end of its life cycle. There’s no policy that says whether batteries are toxic or if it’s okay to throw them in the trash. Collecting and recycling batteries requires so much energy that in the end, it wouldn’t actually save any energy.

Cheap but not the best batteries

I've bought Amazon brand AA batteries a few times as they're quite cheap. They work fine in general household applications such as kids toys and remote controls etc. I find they don't last as long as my main go-to battery brand which is Energizer and unlike the Energizers, I've had a few of the Amazon ones leak. Not the worst batteries out there and are cheap at the end of the day.
