i like this bag and its as described but the zipper noise is so annoying might cut the metal zippers and attach something to them as they the are double and bump to each other if they had a cover over the zipper line might prevent the noise but yeah

Product was as described on the website. Very good quality and comfortable. Can accommodate a 14" laptop easily and some documents in the laptop section of the bag. The other section is good enough to carry lunch and snacks and couple of books. Has small pockets to stuff your keys, chargers etc. Overall satisfied with the product. Not too big and not small either. Just ok for office purpose, day to day use and short term travel. For long travel or if you need to stuff a lot of items then this would not be enough.

EDIT: I've had this bag for 2 years and there is 0 wear or damage. Literally no damage or wear to the materials. I will keep editing every year until it finally cracks.

I've had this bag nearly a year and during that time I have yet to find a issue that is a deal breaker.

Comfortability:
The padded straps are nice but with thin shirts or skin-contact it could rub and irritate skin.
Chest strap makes heavy loads easy to carry and I've had no pain in shoulders like other backpacks I've used
I couldn't get waist strap around my waist because it's stuck but I don't use waist straps anyway
Padded back support along the sides of your back make heavy loads comfortable

Durability:
I've thrown about 50lbs of stuff in this bag with no visible damage or strain
Had been in heavy rain with 15km/h winds and the bag was completely dry inside
Zippers have been aggressively pulled with no damage to zipper
This bag has been dropped 3 meters with nothing inside having damage.
Bag has been punched several times with again no damage to inside items.

Capacity:
I have put a laptop, 2 binders, a textbook, 3 books, 2 pencil cases, and a bunch of wires with a power bank.
If you stretch out the inside with items too wide it can be uncomfortable on the back.
The padded section prevents damage against items.

TL:DR
It's a basic bag for basic people with seemingly indestructible outsides and insides. It's waterproofing and comfortable padding make it great for hiking. You can fit nearly anything in it (within reason) and never have to worry about damaging it. I would recommend this bag but it is a little pricey compared to a similar quality bag but do they have the Amazon logo on it? They don't.

This backpack is just what I was looking for. If you need a compact school backpack with great back support, that can optionally double as a hiking backpack (in my opinion), this Amazon Basics backpack has a lot to offer. Straight out of the box, I was impressed by the innovative design which provides the option to use the support buckles, or hide them away in the keenly located zippered compartments, so it caters to various style and usage needs. The material quality feels like most previous backpacks.

Pros:
-Finally a backpack with Back Support! (two buckles for compressing the contents of the backpack, and one for extra support between the two shoulder straps (this is why I say it can double as a hiking backpack as well since this is a common feature in most hiking backpacks); not sure about the interior space, but for me this will work fine for the occasional hiking trip as well as everyday use for school).

-Inside, the backpack has an array of different compartments fit for various purposes.

-My previous backpack was a popular Roots backpack from Costco, and I must say that I am happy with the smaller extension belts for the shoulder straps on this Amazon backpack. Rather than having extension straps that dangle, the extensions of these straps have no plastic pieces at the end and are very easy to wrap around the pen/key holder on the front of the straps, allowing for dangle-free shoulder straps.

Cons:
-No important, noticeable cons. Only time can tell how well the backpack can stand up to the elements...

Overall, a very nice, innovative backpack that has a lot to offer for students, hikers and travellers alike.
