My kids bought me these for Christmas 2022, and I have used them ever since. There are so many upsides but a few downsides. I'll start with the downsides. First, although the ANC is adequate, more than adequate—for earbuds, they may never be as good as the standard over-the-ear ANC models such as my Soundcore 30s, which I also use and which are excellent for cutting out external sounds, except wind, but from what I understand, few, if any, earbuds can compete with over-the-ear cans in this respect.
They do a fine job overall, but there is an issue with the ANC. When I wear them while eating or brushing my teeth, the sound (of my eating or brushing) is highly amplified in my ears, even when the ANC is set to strong. Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a way around this other than not eating or brushing my teeth when wearing them.
The music's sound is impressive, with great EQ and bass once set up through the custom options.
They are comfortable to wear; I have not worn them on train or plane journeys, but I do wear them on long walks in the countryside, and the battery power is more than adequate and lasts a whole day and then some.
Not an audiophile. Was using these with an iPhone XR primarily. Paid £99 on a limited time deal. Was hoping for something compact with decent sound and ANC for on the go.
- Comfortable fit (unusual for me as I have smaller ears)
- Sound good across a range of genres, with plenty of EQ flexibility via the app
- Decent mics for calls
- Charging case feels sturdy/weighty and premium
- Effective noise cancellation (found I was able to listen comfortably at about 50% volume on my commute on London Underground. Still get a lot of the really loud screeching sound bleeding in, but I still haven’t tried and earbud or headphone that can block that effectively, even my Bose QC45 over ears couldn’t).
- Not the most secure fit if you are planning to use them for working out/gym. I did find they work themselves loose if I was doing anything more active, but will depend on your ear shape.
- App was very buggy and slow. Seemed to take a while to respond when selecting different options. Even after upgrading firmware. Multipoint functionality was still listed as ‘experimental’ but 1More advertise it as enabling ‘seamless switching’ between devices. My experience was that it was anything but! I could not get it to work between my iPhone and Windows laptop no matter what I tried. If I connected to one, it would disconnect me from the other device. Also the app would not remember that multipoint was selected, so I would have to turn that setting on every time I tried to use it.
- The sound personalisation feature (Sound ID) seems really good in theory, but in practice I found it made the sound much much worse! I had much better results using the manual EQ and presets. Still haven’t experienced any sound personalisation that comes close to the quality of Nura.
I bought this as a replacement for dying Sony WF10000XM4s, and have had these for just under a month so plenty of time for them to settle in.
These are fantastic earbuds for the price I paid, which was just under £100, and even at £120 they're a steal. At RRP I think the pricing is ok.
Firstly, sound quality of these can be exceptional when tuned correctly. Download the Wavelet app and setup the EQ for the 1More earbuds and the sound is better than the Sonys, especially if you like bass. They take about an hour of listening to settle in so give them some time before evaluating the quality.
ANC is very good and trades blows with the Sonys. The wind noise reduction is far better than the Sonys, and their adaptive noise cancelling actually works although sometimes switches modes in undesirable situations e.g. when cars drive by you can hear the strength of the ANC drop.
Their battery life is very good, falling asleep whilst wearing them isn't an issue. I would recommend turning off ANC if you will drain them so deeply though because it does seem to drain the right earbud faster than the left which is bad for battery life.
The earbuds themselves are quite small and you can happily sleep wearing them, although they can be a little uncomfortable after very long usage or resting your head on them because they move about a bit in your ears.
Overall I'd say they're on par with the XM4s and would strongly recommend buying them, especially for the price.
First off sound quality. It's clean, punchy and fairly flat with a little of a Harmon curve. It's great clear and has great depth for buds. The app has plenty of EQ options to tune to your tastes and ears. The ANC is okay same for transparency. These were a "I lost my XM4 Sonys I got on a deep sale and can't pay 300$ again" purchase so I'm biased. The ANC has a very faint white noise when nothing is playing, honestly I like it, it's calming so no biggy. Now the fit, also part of the ANC problem. They should come with way more ear tip options considering the price and the cost of eartips is probably cents on the dollar. The originals are comfortable but made of the horrible thin silicone I hate because they deform easily in my ears and lose the seal. Usually not and issue just go buy some new ones right? Well they have non standard oval openings so there are zero true replacements. After trying a few I have TWS comply tips made for Galaxy buds pro 2 and they fit once you squeeze the tube into an oval. The ANC is a million times better and the sounds is over all more impactful. Although as with switching to foam on any bud you may want to boost the mid-highs and highs back to your preference because soft tips seem to darken any thing not tuned for them.
1more is known to offer good headphones/earphones for the price and this one follows this trend.
I bought it at 169$ CAD which I think makes it a good buy. From the unboxing experience to the sound quality and features, it can compete with 250$+ TWS earbuds.
The earbuds feels nice and solid. They are made out of plastic which makes them light and doesn't feel hollow or cheap like some other offering. The case itself feels awesome, it has a aluminium feels and a weight that convey quality.
The earbuds fits nicely in the ear. Although the fit doesn't feel as secure as other at first, when the eartips warms up, it creates a nice seal and won't move at all. The small size also help to makes the really comfortable for long listening time.
The app is really good and since they've update it, they added manual EQ to customize the sound to fit your taste. ANC and transparency mode works really good. I wish the app had more customization on the tap features but it still does the job.
About the sound, it has 1 dynamic driver for the lows/mids and 1 balanced armature for the high-mid/highs. Out of the box, it has a slight W shape that has probably too much highs and can be quite fatiguing. Bass is controlled and goes low, really low. You get some rumble that are really nice when going under 40hz. Mids are quite nice but the dip at 3khz really hurts some details for vocals and instruments. I had to play with the manual EQ to make them enjoyable, bring the mids to life and tame the highs to soften the treble response.
Soundstage and instrument separation are quite good for TWS earbuds. It still can't compete with some similarly priced wired IEM but still enjoyable for a earbuds on the go.
Overall really impressed with these earbuds. I'm a audiophile that love great music details and a balanced sound signature and these satisfy my needs. If you're looking for a good TWS earbuds with all the features you need without paying 300$, this is a good buy.
I have 11 sets of earbuds and counting and at least 4 are brand flagship ANC buds in direct competition with these. With all the rest you listen to music, adjust the graphic eq and be done with it. The 1more (3db up or down) graphic eq we begged for is useless. You MUST use SoundID to get Liberty 3 pro or Galaxy buds 2 pro like bass extension, response and dynamics. After 4 or 5 times retesting to get that ALMOST right next I used Samsungs native graphic eq to further tweak. THEN I used Samsungs native adapt sound (has 3 settings) to boost midrange/treble a bit and FINALLY 3 hours later perfection! If you just use the eq or presets you'll be highly disappointed. If you use SoundID you'll be pretty happy but you may (or may not) have to pull out a few more stops to get to perfection.
